Three in the Morning.
“Its time for those scraps” or so I thought in the early hours of the morning. Sleep was once again elusive so down to the craft room. I had finally mangaed to make those 6x2” pieces of fabric into braid lengths.
“Now it’s time to straighten and make sure all the strips are the same lenght” I murmured to myself.
That was my first mistake to even think of cutting at that hour of the morning. The second mistake was cutting when the pain in my back was speaking with me. However I ploughed ahead.
Yes, all you crafters can guess. I ended up with edges a little crooked. I still thought I could get away with strightening them up whe I was sashing. No No No. That did not work.
So I am now left with 20 inch strips of braided patchwork which I am going to turn into a cushion cover instead of making a reading quilt. It will also be the last time that I attempt to cut fabric at 3am.
