Opening Up

“Opening Up” has taken on a new meaning since Covid 19 decided to visit us.

Many now are looking forward to being able to meet up with friends and family. Many are looking foward to being actually enter and buy in a real shop as opposed to online shopping. Many more are looking forward to being to eat out in a restauant again.

At the same time there aree those who are wary of the pressure of “ we can now meet up” when in fact it is the last thing they really want to do. It will be difficult to actually say no to those coffee meet ups even if it is socially distanced because everyone should be delighted to be able to meet up again.

For many those social occassions were just a nightmare and the the thought of them starting off again is fightening.

So if a friend is reluctant to meet up please just stop and accept that perhaps this is not the time for that friend to meet. The time to meet has to be ok for all and there are some who will be slow to interact and that is ok.

We are all different and that is the beauty of humans. That difference is what makes up. So please respect if that outside socially distance gathering is not what everyone wants and allw that friend to say no and be comfortable in saying no.
