The Garden

Now I really detest gardening. I can admire the gardens which other people nurture and create. However gardening to me is a chore.

The last few months bending has proved to be a little difficult so the spring clean up never really got done. Then I saw that I had this really pretty blue flowering plant in the flower beds. It gave a lovely effect until I realised a few weeks later it was totally taking over.

Now I love the colour of dandelions but I don’t like them when they turn to seed and the next thing you know you have ten of them. Well in my case they have appeared in the most weird and wonderful of places.

So what do I do? I reverted to the old recipe of hot water on the leaves and stalk followed by a good sprinkling of table salt. The only problem which has arisen is that when I plan to go and deal with the now withered weeds the heavens open. But this recipe is working.

I think I might have to just garden or should I say weed for twenty minutes in the morning and the same again in the evening. Eventually I might rid the garden of weeds and put down some newspaper to keep them at bay.

Thank goodness it is only a relatively small garden. I will wait and see how my efforts turn out.
