The On Going Sorting
Technically the clear out of my craft room is on going. But it really isn’t. So many items have mysteriously meandered their way back onto shelves.
A few weeks ago it was decided that as I can’t read physical books that my array of poetry and cookery books should find new homes. Where to find those homes though? Poetry and cookery are not popular among the customers accoring to a number of charity shops who sell books.
Then during the week when the wind was a tad brisk I remmembered a poem by Christina Rossetti about the wind. Instinctively I reached for one of my poetry books on my shelves. They were not there! The empty shelves looked awful.
Yes, my poetry books have returned to their rightful place. Even if they are not read on a daily basis they bring a smile to my face when I see them.
Who has seen the wind?
by Christina Rossetti
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing thro’
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you not I:
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.
