Ripple and Gratitude
Recently someone mentioned gratitude and the concept of ending the day by writing down three things in the day one was thankful for. A simple thing such as a warming cup of tea not necessarily a major thing.
The idea of a gratitude journal or thankfulness journal is not new but it has definitely been of benefit to people for decades if not centuries.
I over heard part of a conversation between two ladies. One was saying that she hated looking at the sky as it was always grey and the other said that she was sick of sodden wet leaves.
On Saturday I was out for a walk and that overheard conversation came back to me. It was bucketing but looking at the puddles I was intrigued by the ripples the falling rain was making. The sound was melodic, something I hadn’t been aware of before.
Walking a little further I found a mass of sodden leaves which had been bunched together beacuse of the rain. I took a closer look and ther were some fungi. Beautiful soft colour a calm to the rain. They would not have been there without the rain.
Perhaps it was time for a graitude memory of two.
