A Gift
I came into the kitchen to be greeted with a myriad of colour. The winter sun was shinning in the garden but the kitchen was awash with different colours and patterns. Standing there it was as if someone had thrown splodges of colour around.I suppose in one way that was what had happened exactly. My husband enjoys working with stained glass. It is something which he has only recently discovered and he is slowly finding out how he is enjoying putting shapes and colours together. This morning, through the various pieces of stained glass which he has hung in our kitchen, he gave a totally different meaning to "winter Sunlight".This morning the kitchen was awash with vibrant colours which could only bring a smile to one's face. The colours were a reminder of the colours of the long hot summer we experienced this year. However they were also a joy to experience after days of rain which had emphasised the dark colours of winter.Sun filtering through small shapes of glass brought a sense of vibrancy and vitality into the room. There was an energy in the kitchen this morning. It was a totally unexpected warm and vibrant gift.
