I now have every admiration for those who oversee a construction. I imagine it is very frustrating to be dependent on various companies delivering a service at a specified time.

When those times are exceeded or delayed the result is beyond annoying.

This i me beig frustrated an only dealing with two companies with one not fulfilling a deadline. I just cannot imagine how people manage a full construction.

Years of watching Grand Designs TV programme in various locations had not prepared me for delays and the numerous phone calls to try and rectify a situation.

This situation got me thinking and I found myself asking questions. Had my stress levels increased with my age. If these delays had happened 10 years ago would I have been less stressed.I think I would have been more stressed then.

It is a topic of conversation which I have had with a number of friends. Some have said that managing a project has given them a new lease of life. They have enjoyed engaging with different companies, gathering inforamtion and finally seeeing the project to completion.

Then there are the people like me who will always manage to get stressed about these things. The soloution? Arrange for those friends or family members to organise and oversee house projects.

However, the topic of stress levels rising as one ages is a topic for another day!!!
