International Day To Highlight Trafficking

I feel sad that we need a day to highlight human trafficking. I cannot get my head around the actual idea of enslaving a human being. It is sickening.

There are so many organisations and it is terrible to think that so many organisations are needed.

The Sophie Hayes Foundation has launched a quilting initiative. It is called the Freedom Quilt. 100 survivors of Human Trafficking and Slavery who have used the Sohpie Hayes Foundation are making a quilt. Each square will represent that persons past, present and hopes for the future.

The finished quilt will go on display in the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool.
