Less than a Two Weeks to Go
And the countdown is nearing it’s end. Less than 10 days to go and the anticipation is reving up.
So are you ready?
Have you got your Flag ready?
Have you planned menus?
Please don’t tell me you don’t know what I am talking about.
On July 20th New Zealand one of the two co-hosts will play the first match against Norway.
Then ( a drum roll please) Australia the other co-host will face Ireland. kick off 10.00am Irish time on Thursday July 20th.
Yes it is the start of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
It is a pity that for many it is a working day but perhaps you can keep up to date on the match via an app or live stream or the old fashioned radio and ear plugs……now I am not suggesting that you would be listening while working but just in case……
This team deserves our support.
I will be sharing recipes for the various games just in case you might invite someone to watch the match with. Or for you to have yourself as you shout loudly at the TV while this team represents us all in Australia.
In case you are not aware of when we are playing here is our schedule in Irish time.
Thursday 20th July @10.00am Sydney against Australia
Wednesday 26th July @1.00pm Perth against Canada
Monday 31st July @ 11.00am Brisbane against Nigeria
The team will have to travel thousands of kilometres between each venue.
So get those flags out.
Send messages to the team. How? Facebook Twitter. Don’t subscribe to those? Well how about an email to the FAI or an ordinary letter to the FAI.
So roll on FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Go Ireland Go.
Come On Ireland
