Spring

February sees the celebration of the Christian Feast of St. Brigid or the ancient Celtic Festival celebrating the Goddess Brigid.

Two of the symbols associated with both celebrations are light and fire. Traditionally a fire is lit to celebrate that winter is half way over and light symbolising in the northern hemisphere the lengthening days.
