Cards

Yes it is that time of the year for the Christmas Cards. I absolutely love sending and receiving Christmas Cards. I know the cost of stams has risen but I have been gathering them throughout the year and think I have enough.

I used to make my own cards but due to an allergy to the dust brom the card when cutting them I have had to give it up. I am in a lucky position that i have friends who make greeting cards.

One friend and I have a barter system with Christmas Mincemeat swapped for Christmas greeting cards. A win win situation. then there are the charity cards. Some of them are really fantastic.

It is wonderful to sit down and start writing the cards. Just putting the name on the card immediately brings that person to mind. Having one or two penpals means that their cards are really special especially as I have never met them. It is really worth sending off those cards.

Then there is the anticiaption of those Christmas cards which might arrive. Looking in the letter box in the hope of seeing a hand written envelope. This is a tradition which I will not be giving up.
