The Library of Today
This morning I got a reminder that my book would be shortly overdue. I was trying to work out when I could get down to the library when I read my text message again. There was a link to a website so I could renew online.

World Book Day
World Book Day. What a day to celebrate. Could you imagine not having a book? It is something I really can't imagine.

Where does it lead you?
What does the word "book" conjure up for you today as we celebrate World Book Day? I don't know about you but I certainly would find it extremely difficult to survive without a book. What am I saying?

Balanced Life?
My life may not be totally in balance but a good book and a "cuppa" certainly help.

National Author's Day
Today in some countries national authors are celebrated. Who would be the national author I would like to be celebrated?

Library and Craftsmanship
As you know by now paper is important to me together with pens. Places where the two come together hold a fascination for me.

Are you a poet?
In an article for www.writing.ie “Thoughts for Budding Poets” Liz Cowley says and I quote “…poetry shouldn’t be like medicine – hard to swallow but good for you”.

A Child's Poem? Or Maybe Not
Surprise The biggest surprise on the library shelves when you suddenly find yourself inside a book

One of Life's Pleasures
A mug of coffee or tea and a good book are not just life’s pleasures but a necessity. I don’t think I could survive without a book.

A favourite Read
I know it has been said that there should be no favourite reads but one of my favourite series is "A Cat in the Stacks Mystery" by Miranda James.

The Generosity of One Man
I don’t know about you but I love to read. Books were and still can be expensive so for me the Public Library has always been a source into the world of books.
